It's Graduation Time in Kenya!!
Last month, we graduated in Kilifi, Kenya! These students have worked very hard for the past year! Biblical Life Leadership College, year 1, the original, is not easy. Graduation is not automatic! This is hard work! These graduates persevered, pushed through, and stayed faithful to the vision put before them, and graduation day is celebration day!
This is like a before and after photo. Graduation Day begins in simple blue gowns. But when each graduate walks across the platform to receive their award, they are met by family and usually their entire church, who sing over them, dance all over the place, and cover them with honor!!

Graduation Day is a major social event! We are there for hours, taking photos, praying, celebrating, savoring the moment!
Congratulations, Pastor!! All our graduates are celebrated this way!
Of course, the graduates are presented with their award, according to their level. Almost all of this class graduated with a Diploma in Practical Theology, and I can tell you, we don't give that away. These guys earned it!
Leadership at the Table
Before the ceremony, there is the signing of the certificates! From L to R, we have Professor Gilbert Kitsao, seated is Professor Bishop Shadrack Ndhuli, and finally, Professor and presiding Bishop of Biblical Life Ministries Kenya, Mathew Matheka.
Oh, and my signature also appears on each certificate!
Delivering the Charge!
One of the most important parts of our graduation is delivering the charge to the graduates. We believe ingraining, equipping, and the impartation of spiritual giftings.
2 Timothy 4:1-5, "I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: [2] Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. [3] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; [4] and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. [5] But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry."
Our graduates are trained, equipped, and sent out to fulfill their calling!
A Special Day Made Even Better!
Professor Bishop Shadrack Ndhuli graduated BLLC in 2005 (in those days we were called Bible School in a Briefcase). Today, 20 years later, his wife Pricilla Ndhuli graduated with her Diploma! What an amazing legacy and friendship we have with these guys!
Family Corner
Karen is doing amazing in Barcelona. They are having one team after another, which she coordinates and hosts among other things. So, she's really busy. In between teams, she and her pals Audrey and Brie found a Barcelona Street Taco event!
The Prayer Closet
Please pray for the ministry in Kenya, Tanzania and DRC Congo, the churches and Pastors, that we may grow as the Lord adds to us!
Week of 7th: Kenya, Silaloni Campus, Local Church Ministries Class, Kisayani Campus, Local Church Ministries Class; Tanzania, Timpani Campus Basic Christian Doctrines 2 Class.
Week of 14th: Kenya, Taveta Campus, Local Church Ministries Class, HQ Campus, Prayer Class, Year 2 The Book of Romans Class, part 2.
Week of 21st, Tanzania, Matosa Campus, Local Church Ministries Class
Pray for the people and the ministry in Congo. There is a great deal of unrest in the area of eastern Congo, Kivu area. In these situations, priorities are survival!
