Transformation Testimony!!
I have two testimonies to share this month!
First, in 2023, there was a starvation cult that came to light in Kenya, in a place called Shakahola. Unfortunately, many people suffered and died, and it was a national outrage. The gov responded by forming a task force to search for and close Shakahola style churches.
At the same time, our ministry purchased the HQ property, and immediately we planted a church on it. We were meeting in a temporary building. Unknown to us at the time, our small church drew the attention of the gov taskforce! On one particular Sunday morning, a member of that taskforce appeared in church with us to see what they can see. Their report came back that this is a good church, and that is a good Pastor, they are ok, and not a cult!
Since that time, we built the church building, and now we’ve opened the HQ campus of BLLC, and can you imagine…. Three of the members of that taskforce enrolled as students at BLLC, they have already pledged to send their Associate Pastors in the next class opening, and they are also desiring to stand for BLCC ordination at graduation! Come on, somebody ought to shout over that!
But wait, there's more!!
BLLC graduations are coming up!! Get ready!
Testimony #2!!
As you guys know, we purchased that 1 acre plot directly on Mombasa Road, between Makindu and Kibwezi. There are bus stops up and down that road, we call them a ‘stage’. Since there’s one directly across the street from us, the local transport guys are now calling it ‘stage ya kanisani’, or the church stage.
Last month, our Bishop was approached by one of the traffic police working in the area. He said for many years this section of road sees at least 3 or more deadly accidents per year, but since this church was planted and has become known, and now there is ‘the church stage’, there have been no accidents. Deadly road accidents have been at zero since 2023. And the officer wanted to know what we had done to make that stop!
Listen y’all, sometimes, all the church has to do is show up! Maybe there are strongholds that are unseen and nobody knew were there, but when the church shows up, some of that junk gets automatically broken and cancelled! Sometimes when the church shows up, the light shines into the darkness, and the darkness automatically disappears! Sometimes we be tryna cast out darkness when we just need to let the light shine!
Thank you for standing with us and praying for the ministry!!
Family Corner!
A local theatre production of “Little Women”, and a friend in the cast, means that Kate and her posse are going to the show!
It is so great how these friends support each other, applaud each other, and celebrate each other! I heard the show was good, too, but it’s always better when your friend is on stage!
The Prayer Closet!
Please pray for the churches and Bible Colleges in Kenya, Tanzania, and DRC this month! Especially pray for DRC. There has been war in the area for several months. Everyone is afraid, some are evacuating. In their current situation, Bible College is a very low priority. But the churches are there!
