"Bible School in a Briefcase" Program

 

 

 

     BSIB is a pastoral training program aimed at rural African Pastors. We are convinced that if we can lift the Pastor, the Pastor can lift the church. It is, in our opinion, the finest pastoral training program on earth! The program has two tracks. Click here to follow the second track. 

 

     The first track is the 'Bible School in a Briefcase'. It has been said that if all Bible colleges, universities, seminaries in the world ran at 120% of their capacity, 95% of the world's pastors would not get one day's worth of training!  Having served rural pastors in Africa for 10 years, we can confirm that there are hundreds of thousands of untrained pastors, serving in churches, doing the best they can with what little they have.

 

     We've developed a program where a pastor can get a one-year Bible College education, and they can get it without leaving their church, their family, and without going into debt.  We pack up the Bible School and take it to them!

 

     This is not a video or TV Bible School! This is real time, live instructor in the classroom Bible School! There are 10 classes in the one-year program, including Basic Christian Doctrines, OT Survey, NT Survey. Plus, Holy Spirit, Prayer, Sermon Prep and Bible Study Methods, and Local Church Ministries.  Graduates from our program receive 10 -50 page- manuals, a Study Bible, and a Certificate in Practical Theology.

 

     As of 2009, this program has graduated 103 pastors, and there are 25 pastors in the current class!

 

     The Current Class: 2010 BSIB is training and equipping 25 pastors on the coast of Kenya, 300 kilometers from Somalia, the most unreached nation in the world.  Our pastors serve behind enemy lines, reaching out to the Muslim communities in which they live.

 

     Future Vision for the Program:  We have in our heart to expand the program to a 2nd year Certificate in Biblical Studies and 3rd year Advanced Certificate in Pastoral Ministries.
